2025
2025 explores how a renewed relationship between maker, user, and object can challenge the accelerating dynamics of today’s fashion industry. At its core is the question of value: can it be built through history, use, care and repair, shaped and enabled by design decisions, rather than being dictated by fleeting trends and price shifts? Drawing on pre-industrial footwear from Northern Germany and Southern Denmark, the project examines how design can foster lasting emotional and practical bonds and, in turn, slowly chip away at the patterns of fast fashion.
